NEW THINGS FOR 2027

2026 has been quite an explosive year across the Gulf – but for all the wrong reasons!

However, as we enter 2027 we are full of optimism for what the next few years will bring.

From a portfolio standpoint, we have strengthened our already fabulous array of agencies with two new producers whose wines will land early in Q1.

Edouard Delaunay – Cote D’Or

Our love of fine Burgundy continues unabated, and the addition of this great producer was no fluke. I first visited the Domaine about three years ago and was taken with their wines’ precision and balance. A further visit in July 2026, just reconfirmed what I already knew and we placed our first order shortly thereafter!

I love a story of an old name being resurrected and really surpassing its former glory – and it seems Bettane agrees:

Cantine Dei, Vino Nobile, Tuscany

The missing piece of the jigsaw in our glittering range of Tuscan agencies was a producer from Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. This has been rectified with the addition of the stunning wines under the stewardship of the estate’s matriarch Caterina Dei.

An estate of 120 hectares, of which 60 is under vine, Cantine Dei has five unique vineyards with distinctive characteristics carefully suited to the cultivation of Sangiovese.

Their Vino Nobile Riserva Bossona is the most complete Vino Nobile I have ever tasted!
